Welcome to The Mission Post, the Bible Blog and writing ministry of British freelance writer and copywriter, Sharmila Meadows of The Writing Desk 27.

 

A wise man once told me that I should view my future not in terms of “what should I do?”, but more in terms of “how many people could I reach for Jesus?” He counselled that my recent burnout-led wilderness had instilled human skills that would multiply my hitherto professional skills, citing Jesus' parable of the talents.  Some days later, he underscored this counsel with the call in Matthew 9:37 (ESV) “the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few” and suggested this be the compass for my life.

 

Writing is my mission: the way my Bible can touch the lost sheep and harvest to the ends of the earth!

 

In that spirit, I embark upon The Mission Post: a hub of Bible devotions and Bible Study, sharing what God has whispered in the secret place, so it may be a blessing in the public place.
