about
I'm a freelance journalist and writer from London, England, writing features, opinion, faith, sports and blog pieces for a range of clients.
After graduating in European History with French (Honours) Language, I spent two decades in Westminster with the UK Government, where I worked as a senior policy adviser on a range of Government policies (at MHCLG, DHSC and HM Treasury) and as private secretary to three Government ministers in the House of Lords.
My portfolio covers cricket, faith and politics, on which I report both distinctly and as fused themes, bringing new angles and variety for my clients. I also offer an authentic journalistic voice to draw South Asian stories to the mainstream media, and similarly, use my work to spotlight the lived impact of lesser known charitable causes.
On cricket, my journalism focuses on reflections about the game, its players, topical issues and its wider societal impact, mostly exploring Test and County Cricket.
I deploy my long career at Westminster to write about politics, often through a Christian lens. Westminster taught me the importance of reputation, tone, impact and audience. It also gave me an insider's perspective on politics. I bring all of those experiences to my journalism to produce copy that persuades, challenges, informs and compels.
I have lived and worked in France (je parle français), New Zealand and Australia, which together with my government career and heritage in the subcontinent, infuse my work with insight and empathy that offer editors and readers fresh perspectives.
