Welcome to my website. A former senior policy adviser and ministerial private secretary in Westminster, I now work as a freelance writer and journalist, with a focus on cricket, faith and politics.

My heart's in journalism, where I harness my two decades in government to survey politics, mostly through a Christian lens.  I also write extensively about cricket.  A member of Surrey CCC, I'll be somewhere at the Kennington Oval from April to September and writing all year about test and county cricket - realising a childhood ambition for sports journalism. My work has appeared in The Cricketer, County Cricket Matters and more.

As a writer on faith and politics, I am a regular contributor to the Premier Christian Media network and you can read my work at Woman Alive, Premier Christianity and Church Times. My faith portfolio also includes my pocket devotional Daily Despatch and The Mission Post Blog, available on this site.

Through these pages, you can learn more about me, view my client list and sample my writing. I'm available for hire, so if something here sparks your interest, please get in touch!

Thank you.

about me

I'm a freelance writer, journalist and copy editor from London, England, where I still live and work.

After graduating in European History and French (Hons) Language, I spent two decades as a (senior) policy adviser to the UK Government in Westminster, working on a range of policies and serving as private secretary to three Government ministers in the House of Lords .   I have also lived and worked in France, New Zealand and Australia - and indeed, France and the Commonwealth remain close to my heart.
